• Death: Heart Attack. Had a heart attack while driving in Neenah. He died instantly and ran into a telephone.

• Life. Born in Audubon County, Iowa November 28, 1879. When a year old, moved to Henry County, Il. Father died when three years old. Lived in country with mother, brother and suster until 16 years old.
Moved to Moline Il. Lived in Mokine four years, attended High School three years and worked one year.
Moved with mother to Geneseo College IL. Graduated from Geneseo College in three years and was professor of History and Science there. Also had charge of Military Science and Athletics.
Was married to Flarence Maude Sangster. Moved to Cedar Falls, Iowa to attend the State Teachers College. Went to Boyden, Iowa as Superintendant of Schools. Was there one year and had to give us teaching because o fill health.
Moved to Sioux City, Iowa. Clerked wihle there. Them moved to farm near Fort Byron IL. Then moved to farm near Coal Valley IL.
From Coal Valley came to Merrill. Worked at mills and canning factory, on railroad three years ans tie inspector. Handled derns and Christmas greens and painted funtil the hard times came.
